Enriching Lives, Opening Minds: the role of the CNR DSU within the Erasmus+ funding program
The Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU) of the National Research Council of Italy is organising an event dedicated to the Erasmus+ funding programme, entitled ‘Enriching lives, opening minds’.
The initiative represents an important opportunity for discussion and collaboration to explore shared experiences and project proposals, with the aim of strengthening the network of cooperation between institutes and increase success in future Erasmus+ applications.
Opening of the session and institutional greetings
Salvatore Capasso – Director CNR DSU
Gabriella Corona – Director CNR ISMed
The event will be divided into two main sessions:
Session 1: Presentation of Erasmus+ projects
During the morning, current projects in which DSU institutes participate as partners or coordinators will be illustrated. These concrete examples will provide an insight into the innovative strategies and solutions already adopted to enhance the impact of international collaborations. During the session, Stefania Ragozino, senior researcher from CNR IRISS, will share the activities of the Erasmus+ project“Education in Living labs: Participatory skills for sustainable Urban Governance PS-U-GO“.
The project will implement Urban Living Labs (ULLs) as educational spaces involving stakeholders from the quadruple helix to experiment and test ideas and solutions to urban challenges. The ambition of the project is to enable place-based civic participation to address issues of public concern in respect to common values. The aim is to equip students with advanced participatory and soft skills for sustainable urban governance through innovative education, set in real-life environments.
The project will review and map existing ULL methodologies and participatory approaches to establish a pedagogic framework of situated learning and a strategy for co-creation. Online and in-person training will prepare the students to take part in their local ULLs, implemented in four cities, Cottbus (Germany), Napoli (Italy), Nicosia (Cyprus) e Palermo (Italy).
Session 2: Proposal Development Session
In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with DSU experts on the INDIRE Agency’s list of evaluators. This session will offer targeted feedback on unfunded project proposals, with the aim of improving them and realigning them to the required standards. A valuable opportunity to transform a negative evaluation into a prospect of future success.
Objectives of the event
– To share successful experiences in Erasmus+ project management.
– To strengthen the network of collaboration between DSU institutions.
– To improve project proposals through constructive feedback.
– To increase the chances of success in future applications.
