Objectives and contents

The law of innovation is a multidisciplinary field that includes the sub specie iuris analysis of the raise and progress of new findings in the medical, biological, technological, and information technology fields able to have a significant impact on society and individuals, in order to endow them with a system of clear and transparent rules aiming at the protection of shared principles. The new draft regulation proposed at European level on certain forms of artificial intelligence, the issue of the liability of autonomous devices, the advent of a virtual scenario with disruptive consequences on the physical reality, the risk of vanishing of rights in an anomic space, recall the attention of the lawyer and his commitment to design protection networks for the individuals and their identity at different levels. The aim of the project is therefore to investigate the evolving directions of science and technology, proposing regulatory frameworks suitable to encompass or even foresee their developments. Interaction with other research groups in the same or other departments will be a fundamental added value to the project.
