Catanese Valeria

Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Salerno, Valeria Catanese has been an administrative collaborator at the CNR-IRISS since 2010.

In charge of the Communication Office, she defines the communication plan of the CNR-IRISS in collaboration with the Directorate and the Board of Institute. An expert in Social Media Communication, she updates the Institute’s social pages, preparing the editorial plan for the web and social channels with the support of the communication team.

She supervised the organization of the international Conference “Competition and Innovation in Tourism: New Challenges in an Uncertain Environment (13-14 September 2012, Naples), of the t-FORUM 2015 Global Conference “Tourism Intelligence in Action” (4-7 May 2015, Naples) and of the Colloquium “Green logistics management: balancing environmental and shareholder priorities” (28-29 September 2016, Naples).

Within the H2020 research project CLIC Circular models Leveraging Investments in Cultural heritage adaptive reuse, she is responsible for the Work Package focused on “Dissemination, exploitation and communication”.

She assists the Directorate in planning, monitoring, evaluation and promotion of research activities and competencies of the Institute.

She is the elected representative of the administrative/technical staff in the Board of Institute since April 2013. In addition, she has been recently appointed Secretary of the Executive Committee of the international association “The Tourism Intelligence Forum” (or “t-FORUM), whose mission is knowledge transfer in tourism.
