Pasquale De Toro

Pasquale De Toro is Associate Professor to CNR-IRISS since 2018.

Architect and Ph.D. in ‘Evaluation methods for the integrated conservation of architectural, urban and environmental heritage’. Currently he is associate professor of Estimation and Evaluation at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ and Director of the Interdepartmental Research Centre in Urban Planning ‘Alberto Calza Bini’.

He is involved in research activities in Decision Support Systems implementation in the architectural, urban and environmental fields, and in particular in the integration between economic and multi-criteria evaluation methods and tools. He also deals with the elaboration of integrated multi-dimensional evaluation approaches using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the decision at urban and territorial scale (urban metabolism, real estate market, interaction between city and port areas, ecosystem services, etc.).

He has been member or principal investigator of research projects and scientific coordinator of research agreements at national and international level. Invited speaker at national and international conferences and lecturer at Italian and foreign Universities. He is author or co-author of more than 150 publications (in Italian or English) in scientific journals, books and meetings proceedings.

Member of the National Committee of ICOMOS Italy, member of the National Committee of Environmental Analysts Association (AAA) and member of the Campania Regional Committee of the Italian Institute for Planning (INU).

Director of the journal “Le Valutazioni Ambientali” (eISSN 2611-5336); co-editor of the journal “BDC” (eSSN 2284-4732,); member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Aestimum” (eISSN 1724-2118, Scopus indexed); member of the Scientific Committee of the journal “TRIA” (ISSN 2281-4574); member of the Scientific Board of the journal “Housing Policies and Urban Economics” (HoPUE) (eISSN 2282-0671).
