Angela Maria Digrandi

Angela Maria Digrandi is a CNR – IRISS Associate since 2019.

Expert in Tourism, Maritime Transport, Research & Development, Local Development, Ecoregions. She directed the Istat offices of Campania (2010-2018) and Marche, Puglia and Basilicata (2019-2020). Senior Technologist, she oversaw innovative analyzes on road safety, R&D, immigration, post-earthquake mortality. Member of Istat’s Quality Circles on Transport, Mobility, Environment and Territory, Culture and Tourism.

Responsible for the use of AIS Big Data for monitoring maritime traffic. She has dealt with industrial districts, environmental policies for the prevention of risks and the tracing of special waste streams. She redesigned the census areas of the Flegrean area and the Vesuvian Red Zone in 2011 and collaborated on the evacuation plan from the Red areas of Vesuvius and Campi Flegrei on behalf of the National Department of Civil Protection.

She was president of the scientific technical committee of the Istat-Municipality of Taranto Convention for the construction of BES-SDGS indicators aimed at the ecological transition of the city of Taranto.

For the CNR-IRISS she pubished “Cultural tourism between art and nature. Two regions compared: Liguria and Puglia” in “XXIV Edition of the Report on Tourism in Italy, 2021 and “Human capital and social capital: theoretical and statistical models and reflections on the South” in Cultural Heritage and Landscape, CNR, Cangemi Editor, 2009.

She is the author of several works published by Istat including: Art tourism in urban areas; Italian regions towards European road safety objectives. 2010-2018 indicators; Expenditure on Research and Development.

She has held numerous lectures in the field of Masters and University Doctorates. She is a member of the statistical associations SIS and ASA.
