Objectives and contents

The aim of the project has been to promote new opportunities to make cultural places accessible to the greatest number of persons, regardless of their physical, cultural, or religious features. By using new technologies and the diffusion of the experience economy, the project has identified innovative instruments of experience design to realize and enhance a unique and memorable cultural experience of visit. In the detail, the results of the project have been aimed at:

1. Understanding, designing, and enhancing cultural resources;
2. Enriching them with technological advanced services;
3. Make their use sustainable and functional to territorial development strategies.

At the basis of this project, there is the certainty of the importance of developing a virtuous system that links cultural, technological, and experiential components.

Specifically, the following outputs have been achieved:

1. the development of models and prototypes, in particular multisensorial maps, aimed at supporting and enhancing  cultural heritage visits, especially  by people with disabilities;
2. the development of guidelines for layout planning and design and accessible multimedial, multisensory itineraries which are experiential and specific to cultural contexts

At the heart of this project lies the conviction that a virtuous system is fundamental in order to link cultural, technological, and experiential components.
