Benedetta Ettorre

Benedetta Ettorre is an associate at CNR IRISS since 2023 on a collaborative assignment under Project DUS. AD013.039 “Maritime Commons: collaborative projects for the regeneration of port cities.” Since 2019 she collaborates with the research group in Urban Planning at CNR IRISS in Naples, participating in activities related to collaborative processes of port-city intersection areas. Architect, graduated with honors at the University of Naples Federico II, she is currently a PhD Student in Environment, Design and Innovation at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, with a research project titled “Plugging ports. Spatial decision support system for conflict management and assessment of the impacts of port mobility and logistics on cities and coastal ecosystems.” Her main scientific and professional interests are related to assessment, planning and collaborative decision-making processes for the regeneration and green transition of port areas.

He attended the Master in Sustainable Planning and Design of Port Areas at the University Federico II of Naples and currently collaborates there by tutoring students. Since 2023, upon selection, she participates in the “Meets4Future” project promoted by SRM (Studi e Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno) for scholars and researchers Under30. Since 2021, she collaborates in the activities of RETE. “Association for collaboration between ports and cities” developed in cooperation with the CNR IRISS. She participates in organizing committees of national and international conferences and workshops and, as a speaker, at conventions and conferences in Italy and abroad.
