In this current transitional phase, the enhancement of human capital in Sudan is fundamental in order to support the socio-economic change that is taking place in the country, and reinforce the conditions required to reduce the level of migration out of Sudan.
The end of the economic and commercial embargo, apart from a few remaining restrictions, has paved the way for new scenarios, and has contributed to the revitalisation of the labour market, with an influence on both supply and demand.
The INSO Project, promoted by CNR-IRISS, in conjunction with Italian and Sudanese partners, has entered into the current debate on the regulation of migratory flows by offering expertise and possible solutions, both of which are highly innovative in relation to the context.
The aim of the workshop is to highlight these aspects by presenting the project’s preliminary findings and promoting interaction between representatives of the political-institutional, entrepreneurial and scientific worlds in Sudan. A further, equally important objective is to contribute to the reintegration of Sudan into the international scientific and academic world.
