Objectives and contents

Project co-financed by the European Union, the Italian State and the Campania Region, within the POR Campania FESR 2014-2020

The project is aimed at the development of a system of immersive and mobile applications to enhance the attractiveness and visitors’ experience of ‘invisible’ cultural heritage of the Campania Region, which includes less visited sites that are not fully accessible due to site characteristics or conservation issues, with focus on visitors with mobility impairments.
The system supports with different functions and technologies – Cinematic Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, APP for smartphones and a web site – the pre-visit, during and post-visit stages of the visitors’ journey, enhancing the cultural experience and the access “for all”. The project adopts the user-centered design (UCD) approach to involve potential users as co-creators of the technological solutions throughout the explorative, generative and evaluation stages of the development process.
The project is carried out in collaboration with Disabled People?s International Italia Onlus – Comitato Territoriale della Campania (DPI Campania) and Unione Italiana Lotta alla Distrofia Muscolare (UILDM) – Sezione di Caserta.
