Corazza Valeria

Valeria Corazza is research assistant to CNR – IRISS since 2018 in the research programme “Circular models leveraging investments in cultural heritage adaptive re-use (CLIC)”.
Graduated in 2001 from the University of Rome, Sapienza, with a degree in Literature with an Archaeological Domain (Protohistory of Europe). Since 2005 she has been a Doctor of Research in Archaeology – Prehistory at the same university.
The main scientific interests concern the European Bronze Age, preventive archaeology and computerized data management (GIS).
She has been a consultant for the preparation of the “Territorial Information System relating to the archaeological monumental constraints in the territory of the Municipality of Rome”; collaborator for the preparation of the “Information System for the processing, use and management of cadastral data and basic cartography and new documents of the PRG of Rome”; consultant for the archaeological and environmental boundary in the preliminary phase of the “observations” to the PTPR Lazio.
From 2015 to 2017 she was a contract external collaborator for the Department of Ancient Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome, chair of European Protohistory.
She is registered in the List of Qualified Operators of Preventive Archaeology of the MIBACT; authorised to draw up the archaeological evaluation document in the preliminary project of public works. Since 2010 she has been a consultant for Techproject s.r.l., one of the leading Italian private companies operating in the field of civil engineering and infrastructure for ViArch’s editorial staff.
Since 2001 she has regularly collaborated with the Superintendencies of Rome, Lazio, Southern Etruria and Calabria, for which she has taken care of research, development and protection projects, as well as providing archaeological assistance.
She is author of scientific publications mostly of protohistoric scope, with a preference for the archaeology of the territory.
