Marina Rigillo

Marina Rigillo is Associate at CNR-IRISS since 2011.

She is associate professor in architectural technology (ICAR 12) at the University of Naples Federico II, PhD in Architecture Technology. Her scientific interests lie in the field of the environmental design, with special reference to the processes and technologies for the sustainable requalification of the urban space and for risk securing territory. Her research addresses issues related to the vulnerability and resilience of the anthropogenic environments, respect to the risks induced by climate change risk (i.e. urban soils project, ecosystem services, green infrastructures).

Her research also deals with the reduction of C&D waste reduction through the implementation of building selective demolition, and the reuse of waste in urban regeneration sites.

, and the recycle/ reuse of C&D waste in the urban regeneration yard. The research outcomes are published as papers in online journals and printed works and presented at both national and international conferences.

On these issues she has participated in many international research projects (Life, Horizon 2020, Asia Switch), also as coordinator of the Italian partnership (EU-AID, Interreg), and in Research Projects of National Interest (PRIN) as well as private research assignments.

Since 2009 she has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Interdepartmental Center for Environmental Research (CIRAM)

Since 2015, he has been on the Editorial Committee of the A-class journal, “Techne, Journal of Technology for Architecture (2015-2020); since March 2020 she is Assistant Editor of the international journal “Detritus. Multidisciplanary Journal for Waste Resources and Residues “.

On these issues she has participated in many international research projects (Life, Horizon 2020, Asia Switch), also as coordinator of the Italian partnership (EU-AID, Interreg), and in Research Projects of National Interest (PRIN) as well as private research assignments.
