Giusto Rosa Maria

Rosa Maria Giusto has been a research fellow at CNR-IRISS since 2018 on the theme of Governance and management of Cultural Heritage within the framework of the CLIC Horizon 2020 programme.

Architect, PhD in Architecture History and Criticism, winner of the National Competition for Young Researchers of the CNR with the research project “The contamination of languages: Late Gothic, Baroque, Art Nouveau in Mediterranean architecture” of which she was Scientific Director, Coordinator and member of the research group. She is a contract professor at several Italian universities and has obtained the National Scientific Qualification for University Professor of II Fascia for the Restoration Sector and History of Architecture.

He works in the field of the reuse of built heritage and the recovery and enhancement of historical centers and cultural sites oriented to the development of tourism with particular reference to the areas of the Mediterranean (project POR 2000/2006; Project CNR 2001-2003).

He is a consultant in the research activities on “Protection and safeguarding of the cultural heritage of traditional architecture in raw earth in the Mediterranean regions” carried out between the University of Naples Federico II and the University Cadi Ayyad of Marrakech -Morocco (2015-2017) and in the research activities on “Recovery and enhancement of cultural sites oriented to the development of tourism in the Mediterranean regions” carried out between the University of Naples Federico II and the Ecole Nationale Architecture et Urbanisme of Carthage -Tunisia (from 2016).

Author of monographic volumes reviewed in Italy and abroad, he is speaker at numerous national and international conferences and publishes essays in collective volumes, in proceedings of conferences, in scientific journals and class A. Since 2018 he has been a reviewer in the class A magazine “Disegno Industriale – Industrial Design” and in the international magazine “Boletín de Arte” of the Universidad de Malaga; since 2015 he has been in the editorial board of the magazine “Studi e Ricerche di Storia dell’Architettura” of the Italian Association of Architectural Historians.
